Give the machine a consistent next part.
The BVX-T421 is a robotic machine-tending cell for repeatable loading and unloading. It suits manufacturers that run stable part families and need more consistent machine utilization between operator interventions. The application begins with the machine cycle, workholding, and how the next blank reaches the robot.
Application envelope
The BVX-T421 targets part families with an individual handled mass of 1 to 12 kilograms. Robot selection accounts for the part, gripper, adapters, reach, and operating motion. The stated part range is an application guide. It is not the robot’s rated payload. Oily surfaces, chips, burrs, and variable castings are evaluated during the feasibility review.
A complete tending sequence
An operator loads the agreed presentation tray or magazine. The system confirms a blank is available and the machine is ready. The robot unloads the finished part, places it at the outfeed, loads the next blank, and confirms the workholding sequence. The controller starts the next cycle only after the required machine signals are present.
Options around the process
- Dual grippers to reduce time between unload and reload steps.
- Trays, drawers, or magazines matched to the blank geometry.
- Selected orientation and presence checks.
- Interfaces for door control, chuck status, and cycle completion.
- Defined reject locations and interruption recovery.
What determines whether it fits
We review cycle time, available machine interfaces, fixture repeatability, and expected batch size. A robot may spend more time waiting than working when the machine cycle is long. A short cycle may require a different handling arrangement. We model both conditions before recommending a configuration.
Handover to production
Acceptance includes normal operation, missing-part conditions, interrupted cycles, and approved changeovers. Operators receive instruction in loading, recipe selection, and recovery. Maintenance staff receive the final program backups and an equipment list. New part families are reviewed before they become production recipes.
